South Trees is a garage pop band from La Puente, California that was co-created by childhood friends Aaron Rodriguez and Martin Quintero. Writer and producer, Aaron, would create the bands signature sound with Martin as lead guitarist, followed by rhythm guitarist Melvin Yarian, bassist Michael Wheatley, and drummer Gabriel Acevedo. In 2018, they set out to become the first big band to emerge from La Puente and have sold out venues all around the Los Angeles area while amassing hundreds of thousands of streams.

After watching Wallows in concert one day in early 2018, Martin, Aaron, and Michael had the idea to begin the band known as “South Trees”, with the goal of sounding and looking as cool as them. They learned their respective instruments and in 6 months played their first live show with only 3 songs to their name.

South Trees have just released their latest album, “Fairytale" where the music is made to sound more distorted, fun, and faster than before. Given that their music is all recorded and produced on their own, this latest album is a testament to their ever evolving sound and production style.
